Weigh In!

So, it’s been almost a MONTH since I’ve posted a weigh in! Don’t worry – I have not fallen off the wagon. If anything, I’m on it more than ever. Right after my last weigh in, I headed to Indy for a few days. It’s harder to eat healthy when you aren’t making your own food. But, I did my best.

I’ve been tracking EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. for 196 days. 196?!?! Crazy!! I’m utilizing weight watchers for those that don’t know, and I love it. So here’s the deets.

Starting weight: 201.0 Pounds
Starting Date: March 11, 2017
Starting BMI: 35.6 (Height 5’3″)
Goal weight: 140ish
Goal BMI: 24 (Healthy range)

Today’s weigh in: 167.4 pounds!
Overall loss of 33.6 pounds! (I HIT 30!!)
Days on Weight Watchers: 196
Current BMI: 29.7 (Down 5.9)

Check out that graph. It really shows you – consistency is key. You CAN do it, you just need to stick to it. Your future self will thank you. And, only you can make this happen. If you don’t want it enough, it won’t happen. And now that I’m at this point – there is NO stopping me. Also! I’ve been going to the gym nearly every day after work for a month now! I’m building muscles and toning up!

AND TEN DAYS UNTIL HAWAII!

Weigh In!

So yeah, I know, it’s not Monday. But I figured it was time for a weigh in post! I did buy a new scale. I was using a Fitbit Aria scale, it’s about three – four years old now and it doesn’t want to connect to my wifi, and hasn’t since I last moved over 2 years ago. So, I have a super cool scale that I can’t even really use all the features of.

I had an Apple Gift card, so I bought a Nokia Body+ scale. I love it! Not only does it show my weight, but then my last 8 weigh ins as well as my overall gain/loss. I see my body fat, muscle mass, bone pass, water weight and even the weather. How cool?

So let’s get to the weigh in! (Mind you, this scale has me weighing about .9 more than my old one, so all new data from here on out is on the new scale.)

Starting weight: 201.0 Pounds
Starting Date: March 11, 2017
Starting BMI: 35.6 (Height 5’3″)
Goal weight: 140ish

Today’s weigh in: 170.9 pounds!
Overall loss of 30.1 pounds! (I HIT 30!!)
Days on Weight Watchers: 167
Current BMI: 30.3 (Down 5.3)

I hit 30 pounds lost! It has taken me nearly 6 months – but that’s okay. Slow and steady wins the marathon.

Oh, and we’re under 40 days left till Hawaii!! 39 Days to go!!

Monday Weigh In!

It’s another weigh in Monday! I didn’t have as big as a loss as I’d wanted, but it is still a loss, and nothing to be ashamed of! Here are my starting stats!

Starting weight: 201.0 Pounds
Starting Date: March 11, 2017

Goal weight: 140ish
Goal BMI: 24 (Healthy range)

Weekly loss: – 1 Pound

(I was down to 173, butttt you know how that goes sometimes.)

I’ve been keeping strong for 143 days! It’s nearly my 5 month anniversary too, it will be here soon! So here’s to another strong week!

Momentum Keeps Me Going

I know it’s not Monday. But, like I told you Monday, I do weigh myself daily. And today I was down below another number I haven’t seen in years. I won’t tell you the number, I don’t want to spoil Monday!

I wasn’t sure what I wanted to post about today, I  had today and yesterday off, I was able to get a lot done around the house. I even went out to dinner last night and had an amazing chicken sandwich with a ciabatta roll. I also had a piece of chocolate fudge cake. It was very good – the sandwich and the cake. So why did I have the cake? I planned for it. I had a small breakfast and healthy lunch, so I was able to spare my points. I also went for a 1.5 mile walk during the day.

I don’t have desert often mind you – it’s rare, I’ve had desert maybe 5 times since starting weight watchers over 130 days ago. And most of those were when I traveled for work to Atlanta, and they fed us!

I know it’s okay to have cake now and then, just not every single day. I use an app called Momentum to track my daily habits. Once you start checking off the days for something, it’s harder to stop doing whatever the habit is. You see the days grow and it psychologically keeps me going. I also tracing brushing my teeth twice a day – sounds stupid, but sometimes at night I get lazy! (Who doesn’t – admit it.) With this app, I know I have to log if I did or didn’t do it – and I have to keep my streak alive!

You could honestly use it for any habit! You can set it for a certain number of days a week, like working out 5 days a week. If you track five days in the week, you’re good.

What are some other habits you track? Or ones you think would be beneficial to track?
